Resources in the Landscape:
Urban Oasis
Site Forces:
Public/Private Interaction:
While completing a noli map exercise, contrasts of public and private have emerged. As an early community of single family dwellings have turned to multifamily units, public and private layers have changed as well. Today's density of public spaces have shrunk, letting a street and industry ordering system to emerge.
Land Flow:
The swift tilt of the site is due to the large valley used for the rail road to the northern edge of the site. This large valley is the in-ground border between the living and working zones of this area as well as the lowest point.
SWOT Analysis:
Valuable resources of Martin Drive area are broken down based on positive and negative effects on the area. These resources are compared and overlapped to community views and observations made during my collaborative research.
